GOVERNOR ROCHAS OKOROCHA SAYS IGBOS WILL NOT SUPPORT SECESSION

                Governor Rochas Okorocha has said that no reasonable Igboman would not support the division of the Country, adding that the IPOB leader should be treated as a single individual because reasonable Igbo people have condemned IPOB in all ramifications.           Governor Okorocha spoke weekend (Saturday, September 16, 2017) in Owerri at the new Yam festival organized by the State Council of Traditional Rulers headed by HRM Eze Samuel Ohiri, adding that everyone that loves Ndigbo has condemned the activities of IPOB. The Ooni of Ife, His Majesty Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, who attended the event said he would not condemn the IPOB elements but would rather advice them to channel their energy positively, adding that he is passionate about the unity of the nation. The Executive Governor of Plateau State has expressed great dismay and shock at the sudden build up of tension in Jos Metropolis on account of the conduct of some disgruntled elements, who have decided to throw the metropolis into confusion on account of their negative reaction to the agitations of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in the South East. Consequently, the Governor has directed an immediate imposition of curfew from dusk to dawn (6pm – 6am) within the Greater Jos – Bukuru Metropolis, until further notice. The deployment of security personnel to all flash points within the metropolis has also been directed to ensure compliance with the curfew order and to avert any further breach of law and order. The Governor wishes to assure all citizens that the security and welfare as the primary concern of Government is assured by the Rescue Administration. He is therefore enjoining all citizens to go about their business with the assurance that their safety is guaranteed....

Yobe EXCO Approves N12.262 Billion in Project Spending, With Yobe Cargo Airport and Education on Spotlight .

By Hassan .B. Anchinai The Yobe State Executive Council today approved a total sum of N12, 262, 063. 801.00 for the execution of various projects and services, as part of H.E Gov. Ibrahim Gaidam administration's effort to further develop the state. In that amount, N11, 327, 120, 487.24 will be devoted to the construction of Yobe's brand new cargo airport in Damaturu. The first of its kind in the Northeast sub-region. The cargo airport will help generate and enhance business traffic through the movement of goods and services to and from the region in a way that will be economically empowering for the state and its people. Also approved by the State EXCO is the sum of N440, 274, 022.40 for the procurement of furniture for classrooms, offices, staff quarters, student hostels and dining halls for the five newly rehabilitated and expanded secondary schools within the state. Three Passengers On Board Air Peace Flight From Lagos To Abuja Were Arrested By The Airport Security Agency.

Three  passengers on an Air Peace flight from Lagos-to-Abuja have been arrested by airport security agencies, on teusday 12 2017 our source disclosed. The passengers, who were arrested by aviation security arm of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), have since been handed over to the Police Airport command for allegedly disrupting and delaying the 6:30 p.m flight on Monday. It was gathered that the three passengers which include two men and a lady - reportedly queried the seating arrangement of the aircraft but rebuffed the efforts made by the crew and pilot in command to explain that the arrangement was as approved by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Corporate Communications Manager of Air Peace, Mr. Chris Iwarah who confirmed the incidence said the passengers refused to listen to the explanation even as they insisted the aircraft was not airworthy.
